Product Totals By Month shows how each product in a selected batch of orders performed month by month. Review quantities and sales in the report, switch to a graph for the overall trend, and export the results to Excel.

Go to Reports > Orders > Product Totals By Month.

Build the report

  1. Use the Filters/Results tab to choose the date range and orders you want in the batch.
  2. On Options, select Product Totals By Month. Set the product, folder, unit, and value options you need, as you would for Product Totals.
  3. Click View Report. The columns are built from the months in the selected orders, with a total at the end. A wide date range may require horizontal scrolling.

Read and search the results

The Report tab lists one row per included product and shows the selected values for each month. Depending on your options, values can include quantity, price, cost, discount, and ordering accounts. The final columns and bottom row show totals.

The summary above the table shows the number of products, months, and companies with orders in the batch. Use Search products to narrow the rows. Scroll vertically to load more rows and horizontally to see later months.

Explore the graph

Click View Graph to open the Graph tab. Choose Top products for a product breakdown or Total trend for a single monthly line. The cards show the selected metric's total, peak month, product count, and companies with orders.

  • Gross sales: the order-line sales amount before line-item promotional discounts.
  • Net sales: gross sales less line-item promotional discounts.
  • Promos only: the line-item promotional discount amount.
  • Quantity: the reported order quantity.

Net sales and Promos only appear when the selected orders contain promotional discounts. Hover over a month for its exact value. In Top products view, use the legend to show or hide a product.

Export to Excel

  1. Return to the Report tab and click Export.
  2. Review or change the suggested file name, then click Save.
  3. Wait for the progress display to show Ready to Download. The download starts automatically; use the manual download link if it does not.

The workbook includes the product-by-month data and a graph worksheet. The export uses the full report, including rows beyond the portion currently visible in the scrolling preview.
