QuickBooks Tips :: Customer Types
If you use the Customer Type List in QuickBooks to categorize your Customer List, or would like to use this functionality, you can also assign these attributes to TurnLink companies. This will allow your order reporting to be synchronized between the two systems and help clarify account types for your sales representatives.
When you assign a Customer Type in TurnLink to a Company, QuickBooks will be updated with the Customer Type the next time it is synchronized and will be reportable in QuickBooks after that point.
Below are some examples of Customer Types. The indented Customer Types are subtypes in QuickBooks and will be separated by : in TurnLink to synchronize with QuickBooks properly. Some of the below examples may apply to your company and others may not so you can use these as a guide for setting up yours.
Your Customer Type list can be synchronized via the Web Connector or added manually to TurnLink at any time logged in as an Admin via Setup > Integrations > QuickBooks in the 'Order Options' section under 'Customer Type To Add':
