Account Setup : Tags (Customer Types)
Tags function as unique labels you can assign to companies. They are searchable and reportable and can therefore help you to analyze your datab and take actions based on your objectives. Your account will be pre-loaded with some example Tags to show you how the feature works.
Before importing Customer and Prospect lists, it is often nice to update and add to your Tags so you can import those relationships while setting up your data.
If you use QuickBooks, Customer Types in QuickBooks translates to Primary Tags and can be setup during the initial synchronization process. QuickBooks only allows for 1 Customer Type per Customer, but TurnLink allows for unlimited Tags to give you a more dynamic experience.
**Non-QuickBooks Admin level users: Add Tags via Setup > Tags:
** QuickBooks Admin level users: Add/Update your Customer Types in QuickBooks before your initial synchronization with TurnLink. If you have already synced, add your Customer Types in QuickBooks AND add them as an EXACT TEXT MATCH in TurnLink via Setup > Integrations > QuickBooks > Order Options > Customer Type To Add:

QuickBooks users can add Secondary/additional Tags that are not part of your QuickBooks Customer Type list via Setup > Tags. EG a Customer might have the Primary Tag/QuickBooks Customer Type 'Store:Convenience' and the Secondary Tag 'Rank:B' within TurnLink only.
