How TurnLink and QuickBooks Interact
Setup/Synchronization for First Usage:
After Installing the QuickBooks Web Connector (QBWC) and running it for the first time, several sales related lists will be published to a temporary holding area inside of TurnLink. You can access the data in the Synchronization Wizard from Setup > Integrations > QuickBooks. Your TurnLink Account Manager will guide you through this process via a screen sharing meeting. The Synchronization Wizard allows you to setup TurnLink to contain the following lists:
▪ Terms
▪ Ship Methods
▪ Items
▪ Customers
You can then map the appropriate information into the appropriate TurnLink setup fields for synchronization. Often, your TurnLink Account Manager will identify some best practices that you may not be aware of (which are available in our setup documentation for the QuickBooks Web Connector). Based on these recommendations you may want to make improvements to your QuickBooks data and then re-sync it before publishing to your TurnLink account.
Your Account Manager will also assist you with setting up your 'Direct' distributor inside of TurnLink and ensuring that your direct orders will flow into QuickBooks where the invoice will be created.
