Customers and Prospects can be added in two ways:

1. Via Excel Import Templates created in Setup > Imports > Company Lists. Here you have the option of creating a blank template or mapping an existing Excel file into our format: 

** We recommend that you first, prepare your Customer list(s) so they can be imported. Then, prepare your Prospect lists so that they can be mapped against your Customer list to remove any possible duplicates. 

** Be sure to put a 'C' for Customer or 'P' for Prospect in all applicable rows of the 'Company Type' column of your import template: 

You can import multiple company types in the same file (C=customer, P=prospect, D=distributor, S=sales company/broker, R=regional), so this step is important.

** Submit your completed file to support@turntree.com and we will QA the data and import it into your database. 

2. Click on Company > New and select ‘Customer’ or 'Prospect' from the 'Company Type' dropdown:

** Fill out as much information as is known about the company and click Add Company when finished. You can add more contacts, distributors, etc, once the company has been added via the Company Overview.

Customers and Prospects can be added in two ways:

** We use the main company phone number as the unique identifier to ensure no duplicates are created in your account. This is a required field with both methods.

1. Manually within TurnLink

Click on Companies > Add New:

Fill out as much information as is known about the company. At minimum, be sure to include Name, Type, a Creation Note indicating the source and/or basic information, and the main phone number which is used as a unique ID to avoid creating duplicate records. Click 'Save Details' when finished:

Note: Social media sites can be added as a comma separated list. 

Note: When adding a Customer for MapMyStores be sure to set MapMyStores to 'On' and include full address data.

You will automatically be taken into the Company Overview where you can add additional details such as Contacts, Distributors, and sales Reps. 

We recommend this method when dealing with larger company lists. 

Go to Setup > Imports and choose 'Companies' as your Import Type. Name your import. You have the option of creating a blank document/template or mapping [converting] an existing Excel document into our importable template. Select your Template File Creation option and click 'Continue':
